DURHAM – No. 9 Duke women's tennis closes the regular season with a home showdown and senior night celebration against crosstown rival and top-ranked North Carolina on Friday, April 15 at 6 p.m.
Duke features three singles players and three doubles pairs in the ITA rankings. Junior
Chloe Beck leads the way in singles action at No. 9, followed by 21st-ranked senior
Georgia Drummy and 122nd-ranked freshman
Emma Jackson.
In doubles play, Duke is led by sophomore
Karolina Berankova and Drummy, with the duo sitting 38th nationally. The tandems of Beck and freshman
Ellie Coleman, Beck and senior
Margaryta Bilokin, as well as Chen and graduate student
Eliza Omirou, check in at No. 55, No. 80 and No. 87, respectively.
Duke will honor its senior trio of Bilokin, Chen and Omirou for their contributions to the program on Friday prior to the match.

The Opponent
No. 1 North Carolina enters Friday's match with an unblemished 23-0 ledger and a 12-0 mark in league play.
The Tar Heels have five ranked singles players in the lineup – No. 4 Cameron Morra, No. 17 Elizabeth Scotty, No. 24 Reilly Tran, No. 45 Fiona Crawley and No. 48 Carson Tanguilig.
In doubles play, the Tar Heels feature the No. 1 pairing in Crawley and Scotty. Morra and Alle Sanford check in at No. 26, followed by Sanford and Tran at No. 63, No. 81 Morra and Tanguilig, rounded out by Crawley and Tran slotted 84th.
Duke holds a slim 47-44 lead in the all-time series against North Carolina, but the Tar Heels have won the last seven.

The Blue Devils registered another weekend sweep, featuring wins over Georgia Tech and Clemson. Duke battled for a hard-fought 5-2 win over the Yellow Jackets Friday evening, then breezed to a 6-1 victory over the Tigers Sunday afternoon.

- Kelly Chen currently sits in sixth on the Duke career singles list with a 128-48 mark and is tied for 17th on the career doubles list at 88-45. Overall, the senior owns a 216-93 combined career singles and doubles record – good for ninth all-time in total victories. Chen needs three more wins to move into a tie for eighth with Jessi Robinson.
