NEW ORLEANS – The Duke men's basketball team practiced in front of thousands of fans at the Caesars Superdome on Friday ahead of the Blue Devils' matchup against North Carolina in the national semifinal.

Mark Williams started the day by meeting with the media in breakout interview rooms before joining head coach
Mike Krzyzewski for a pre-practice press conference. Fans got their first live look at the Blue Devils in New Orleans during an open practice session, which included an on-court interview with Coach K and CBS' Jim Nantz.
At the end of the practice session, NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee Vice Chair Chris Reynolds presented Duke junior
Michael Savarino with the Elite 90 Award, which recognizes the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 90 championships.
The Blue Devils and Tar Heels tip off Saturday at approximately 8:49 p.m. ET on TBS.
