No. 14 Duke Set for Pair of In-State Matches

DURHAM – The 14th-ranked Duke women's tennis team returns to the state of North Carolina to close its four-game conference road swing with a pair of matches at No. 2 NC State and Wake Forest.
The Blue Devils will square off against the Wolfpack Friday at 5 p.m., before taking on the Demon Deacons Sunday at 12 p.m.
Duke (11-3, 6-2 ACC) features a trio of singles players and three doubles pairs in the ITA rankings heading into the matches – junior Chloe Beck leads the way in singles action at No. 7, followed by 20th-ranked senior Georgia Drummy and 89th-ranked freshman Emma Jackson. The Blue Devil tandems of Beck and senior Margaryta Bilokin, Bilokin and graduate student Eliza Omirou, as well as Drummy and sophomore Karolina Berankova, check in at No. 65, No. 75 and No. 80, respectively, in the doubles rankings.

The second-ranked Wolfpack enter Friday's tilt winners of its last nine matches. The team recently wrapped up a stint of four-straight road matches with wins at Boston College (5-2) and Syracuse (6-1) this past weekend.
NC State features three players on the ITA singles rankings along with a trio of ranked doubles pairings – Jaeda Daniel leads the charge at No. 14, with Abigail Rencheli and Alana Smith back-to-back at 31st and 32nd.
