DURHAM – The 14th-ranked Duke women's tennis team returns to the state of North Carolina to close its four-game conference road swing with a pair of matches at No. 2 NC State and Wake Forest.
The Blue Devils will square off against the Wolfpack Friday at 5 p.m., before taking on the Demon Deacons Sunday at 12 p.m.

The second-ranked Wolfpack enter Friday's tilt winners of its last nine matches. The team recently wrapped up a stint of four-straight road matches with wins at Boston College (5-2) and Syracuse (6-1) this past weekend.
NC State features three players on the ITA singles rankings along with a trio of ranked doubles pairings – Jaeda Daniel leads the charge at No. 14, with Abigail Rencheli and Alana Smith back-to-back at 31st and 32nd. In doubles play, the Wolfpack is led by the 11th-ranked tandem of Daniels and Nell Miller. Amelia Rajecki and Rencheli check in at No. 27 and Daniel and Smith are ranked 67th.
Historically, Duke has fared well against the Wolfpack with 61 of the 63 meetings going the way of the Blue Devils. However, the last time the two teams faced each other (April 1, 2021), NC State inched out a narrow 4-3 win.

The Demon Deacons open their weekend with top-ranked North Carolina before taking on Duke in the second of two matches. Wake Forest went 2-0 in ACC action this past weekend with 6-1 victories over Syracuse and Boston College.
The Blue Devils hold 63-4 ledger in the all-time series against the Demon Deacons and have won the last 14 matchups, including a 5-2 win on March 18, 2021.

The Blue Devils saw their eight-match win streak come to an end as Duke went 0-2 on the weekend, dropping decisions at Florida State (2-4) and then No. 9 Miami (3-4).

- Kelly Chen currently sits in ninth on the Duke career singles list with a 124-45 mark, as well as 18th on the career doubles list at 88-45. Overall, the senior owns a 212-100 combined career singles and doubles record – good for ninth all-time in program lore. Chen needs six more wins to move into a tie for eighth with Jessi Robinson.
- Duke will face its sixth top-25 opponent this weekend in No. 2 NC State. The Blue Devils are 3-2 against the top 25 this season with wins over Ohio State, Princeton and Virginia – The respective teams were ranked 10th, 23rd and 12th at the time of the matchups.
