DURHAM – No. 17 Duke men's tennis brings a five-match winning streak into the weekend as the Blue Devils host No. 23 Notre Dame and No. 29 Louisville at Ambler Tennis Stadium.

The Blue Devils welcome the Fighting Irish on Friday at 4 p.m., before hosting the Cardinals on Sunday at 12 p.m. Both contests are set to be played outdoors at Ambler Tennis Stadium but have the potential to move indoors should weather impact the playing surfaces. Both contests will also be Royal Blue matches with Friday's having a special giveaway of a free Duke tennis water bottle to the first 75 fans. Parking is available in the Blue Zone.

Garrett Johns finds himself back in the national rankings for singles play, coming in at the No. 64 spot. The Atlanta, Ga., native sits with a 9-4 overall mark, including a 5-3 ledger over nationally ranked opponents. He was recently named the ACC Men's Tennis Player of the Week following his victories over No. 22 Brian Cernoch of North Carolina and Max Motlagh of Boston College. HISTORY WITH NOTRE DAME
Friday's contest is the 38th all-time meeting between the two programs. Duke leads the series 25-12, but Notre Dame won the teams' last meeting a year ago, 5-2. Over the last 10 matchups, the Blue Devils hold the 6-4 edge with their last win over the Irish coming by a 4-1 decision on April 5, 2019.

SCOUTING THE FIGHTING IRISH
Notre Dame sits with a 14-6 overall record heading into Friday's match and holds a national ranking of No. 23 according to the latest ITA poll. Senior Axel Nefve is the Fighting Irish's lone singles player listed in the rankings at No. 53 after posting a 11-4 record on the year. He joins teammate Matthew Che as the No. 41 best doubles tandem in the country as well. The duo is 7-6 in doubles playing, including a 2-1 mark against nationally ranked opponents.

HISTORY WITH LOUISVILLE
Duke leads the all-time series with the Cardinals 7-1 and registered a 4-2 win during its last meeting in the ACC Championship a year ago. Louisville's lone win came on April 6, 2018, when it earned a 5-2 victory in Durham.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Louisville jumped 18 spots in the latest ITA rankings to No. 29 after compiling two wins over No. 25 Miami, 4-2, and No. 34 Florida State, 4-2. The Cardinals currently hold a 13-5 record on the year, including a 5-1 ledger during ACC play. Junior Etienne Donnett is the No. 117 ranked singles player and is 7-7 in dual matches heading into the weekend. The doubles pair of Matthew Fung and Natan Rodriques are listed at No. 71 in the latest rankings after posting a 5-6 mark on the year.

The Blue Devils host Georgia Tech, Clemson, and North Carolina A&T next weekend. Duke welcomes the Yellow Jackets on Friday at 4 p.m., followed by a doubleheader with the Tigers and Aggies on Sunday at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
