DURHAM – Following an unblemished mark during the opening weekend of ACC play, the Duke women's tennis team returned to the top 10 in the ITA rankings after leaping five spots to No. 9.
Duke kicked off conference play with a pair of road wins at Louisville and Notre Dame this past weekend to improve to 6-1 in dual match play. The ninth-ranked Blue Devils dispatched the Cardinals 6-1 and followed that up with a 5-2 victory over the Fighting Irish two days later.
The Blue Devils are also ranked 11th in the Tennis Channel / USTA College Tennis Top 25.
Duke kicks off a five-game homestand this weekend as the team gets set to host 12th-ranked Virginia and Virginia Tech. The Blue Devils square off against the Cavaliers Friday at 6:30 p.m., then face the Hokies in a Sunday morning tilt slated for 10:30 a.m.
