DURHAM - As we turn our sights ahead to 2023, let's look at the top five moments from the 2022 Duke women's basketball season. The Blue Devils are 12-1 overall, 2-0 in ACC play and are coming off a 72-58 road win at No. 6/6 NC State on Thursday. The 12 wins through 13 games marks Duke's best start to a season since the 2016-17 campaign.
#5 – Celeste Taylor Reaches 1,000 Career Points
With her 14 points, keyed by a left-wing triple in the fourth quarter of Duke's 71-48 win at FGCU, senior
Celeste Taylor reached 1,000 career points, becoming the second Blue Devil in as many seasons to achieve the benchmark.
#4 – Bo Shaffer Scores First Duke Points at Richmond

Bo Shaffer tallied her first Duke points in her Blue Devil debut at Richmond. Shaffer cut baseline and put in a reverse layup on the left side off a nice feed from
Emma Koabel, giving Duke 100 points for the second time this season.
#3 – Celeste Taylor Drains Huge Triple to Halt NC State Rally
Amid an NC State third-quarter rally that pulled the home team within single digits,
Celeste Taylor would be the one to answer the call, halting the comeback attempt as she cashed in a trey from the left corner with 2:18 to go in the quarter.
Shayeann Day-Wilson drove into the lane and found Taylor, who dotted the eye and pushed the Duke lead back to 10, 48-38.
#2 – Vanessa de Jesus Comes Up Big in the Clutch
Vanessa de Jesus posted tallied 15 points off the bench in Duke's 70-56 win over Virginia, which included a huge triple with just over five minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Virginia had mounted another late rally and pulled within eight points midway through the fourth, but de Jesus would be the one to deliver the decisive blow to the visitors – drilling a triple from the far-right corner off
Kennedy Brown's feed to push the Duke lead back to 11 (60-49) and put the Cavaliers on the ropes.
#1 – Reigan Richardson Delivers the Dagger at NC State
With just over two minutes to go in the fourth quarter and the shot clock winding down,
Reigan Richardson delivered the dagger to the heart of the Wolfpack as she cashed in a trifecta from the left slot to extend the Duke lead to 10, 66-56. The Blue Devils would ice the game from there, locking down the 72-58 result to pick up the first top-10 road win of the Kara Era.
