DURHAM – Following a week where she helped lead the Duke women's soccer team to back-to-back shutouts, Blue Devil graduate student
Delaney Graham was selected to the College Soccer News and TopDrawerSoccer National Team of the Week on Tuesday. Â
Graham, a product of Atlanta, Ga., played 90 minutes on Thursday at Clemson and helped lead the Blue Devils to their seventh shutout of the season in a 0-0 draw. On Sunday against Louisville, Graham helped guide Duke's defense to another shutout as she saw action in 71 minutes in a 4-0 victory. She assisted on the game-winning goal by
Michelle Cooper in the first half and then assisted on another tally by freshman
Kat Rader in the second half.
Her two assists matched a career high. Graham also became Duke's all-time leader in minutes played this past week as she passed Tara Campbell (8,003) and now owns 8,117 minutes over the last five seasons. Â
On the season, Graham has started all 16 matches and has five assists. Graham owns 17 assists and four goals over her career for 25 points. Her 96 matches started is also a Duke career record, while her 98 matches played ranks second on the Blue Devil charts. Â
Duke (11-4-1, 6-2-1 ACC) will close the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 27 at Notre Dame. The match will be aired live on ACC Network with an 8 p.m., opening kick.
