Kara Lawson enters her second season at Duke with a tremendous amount of excitement in Durham for the season ahead.
The 2021-22 slate features 12 teams that advanced to the 2021 NCAA Tournament – South Carolina, Iowa, Alabama, Troy, Wake Forest, Louisville, Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and NC State.
Lawson recently released the non-conference slate that included six home dates at historic Cameron Indoor Stadium, to go along with five road contests.
After an exhibition contest Thursday, Nov. 4 against Wingate at 7 p.m., the Blue Devils open the 2021-22 campaign at Cameron Indoor Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m., versus Winthrop.
Next up on the slate for the Blue Devils is a road contest at Dayton Friday, Nov. 12, before returning home to host UNC Wilmington Sunday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m.
For the second time in school history, Duke participates in the Maggie Dixon Classic on Sunday, Nov. 21 in Fort Worth, Texas. Hosted by TCU, the Blue Devils face Alabama in a doubleheader that also features TCU versus North Carolina. Duke takes four student-athletes home for the contest as graduate students

The non-conference schedule continues with three consecutive home games – vs. Appalachian State (Nov. 24), Troy (Nov. 28) and Iowa (Dec. 2). The matchup against the Hawkeyes is part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The Blue Devils then hit the road to play at The Palestra Sunday, Dec. 5 against Penn, before returning to Cameron for a battle against South Carolina Wednesday, Dec. 15. The later contest features two head coaches that led their respective USA Basketball teams to gold medals in Tokyo. Lawson guided the USA Basketball 3x3 squad to gold, while Gamecock head coach Dawn Staley led the USA Women's Basketball team to gold.
Duke closes non-conference action at Charleston Southern on Tuesday, Dec. 21.
In ACC action, the Blue Devils feature home and home contests with North Carolina, NC State, Virginia Tech and Virginia.
Duke hosts Notre Dame (Jan. 2), Georgia Tech (Jan. 6), Virginia Tech (Jan. 13), Virginia (Jan. 23), North Carolina (Jan. 27), Wake Forest (Feb. 6), Florida State (Feb. 10), NC State (Feb. 13) and Boston College (Feb. 24).
The Blue Devils face road games at Miami (Dec. 19), Virginia Tech (Dec. 30), Syracuse (Jan. 9), NC State (Jan. 16), Louisville (Jan. 30), Pittsburgh (Feb. 3), Virginia (Feb. 17), Clemson (Feb. 20) and North Carolina (Feb. 27).
Duke opens league action on the road for its first two contests at Miami (Dec. 19) and at Virginia Tech (Dec. 30) and hosts Notre Dame (Jan. 2) in its ACC opener in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Some tip times and television networks have yet to be confirmed and will be released as they are set.
The ACC Tournament is slated to be played March 2-6 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.
