DURHAM, N.C. – Duke wrestling head coach
Glen Lanham has announced the addition of four freshmen to the 2021-22 wrestling roster.
Christian Colman,
Logan Ferrero,
Sebastian Jimenez and
Adar Schwarzbach have joined transfer
Gabe Dinette as new additions to the Blue Devils roster as they prepare for a full season.

"I'm very excited about the freshmen we have coming in this year," said Lanham. "I know they are eager to get their college experience started and I know they will compete in the classroom as well as on the mat."

Coming to Durham via Doylestown, Pa., and Germantown Academy, Colman gives the Blue Devils another top wrestler from the state of Pennsylvania for three straight years after adding
Jack Wimmer and
Jonah Niesenbaum in the previous two. A two-time junior Greco northeast regional champion and Pennsylvania Greco state champion, Colman compiled a record of 110-27 over four seasons with Germantown. He also finished third at prep nationals on two occasions as both a junior and senior at 132lbs. Colman was also a strong student, having been named to his school's honor roll.

Logan Ferrero
Â
Joining the Blue Devils from Lake St. Louis, Mo., and the Whitfield School, Ferrero enters with a decorated pedigree. Whitfield was a powerhouse in the state of Missouri, with Ferrero helping lead the team to four straight state championships as a unit. Individually, Ferrero is a two-time state champion as a freshman and sophomore, who compiled a 164-25 record over his high school career. Ferrero was the 2018 District 1 Freshman Wrestler of the Year and the 2019 District 1 Sophomore Wrestler of the Year, who added a runner-up finish at the state championships as a junior and a fifth-place finish as a senior. A gifted student, Ferrero was named a 2020 KMOX/SEMO Student of Achievement and a 2021
St. Louis Post Dispatch Scholar Athlete.
Sebastian Jimenez

Originally from Houston, Texas, Jimenez joins the Blue Devils after a sterling career at St. John's School. Jimenez compiled a 133-24 record over his high school tenure, where he was a team captain for three of the four seasons. He was also honored four times on the All-State list and was a two-time prep state champion as a sophomore and senior. A High Honor Roll or Honor Roll recipient all four years of high school, Jimenez also comes from an athletic family. His father, Carlos, was a decorated swimmer in both Columbia and the United States, while his brother, Santiago, played college baseball as a pitcher with Baylor, Howard Junior College and Houston.

Adar Schwarzbach
Â
Hailing from Palo Alto, Calif., Schwarzbach enters the collegiate ranks after following a prolific career with the Vikings. The first masters champion from Palo Alto in over a decade, Schwarzbach was both the 2020 Reno Worlds national champion and 2020 California Greco state champion at 152lbs. In addition, Schwarzbach was an All-State honoree as a senior, two-time All-Section selection, three-time All-League and a two-time league champion as a sophomore and junior, winning 132 and 145 pounds respectively. Schwarzbach was a leader at his high school program, serving as captain for two seasons, while also graduating as an AP scholar with distinction.
