Blue Devils Unveil 2021-22 Schedule

DURHAM – The Duke men's golf team has unveiled its 2021-22 schedule, highlighted by a return of the Rod Myers Invitational in mid-September at the Duke Golf Club.
After a season that saw the fall portion canceled and a limited spring schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Blue Devils will return to a more traditional slate in 2021-22 with five tournaments set for the fall, and another five in the spring.
The schedule begins with the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate Sept. 5-6 in Verona, N.Y., followed by Duke's annual Rod Myers Invitational at the Duke Golf Club Sept. 11-12 and the Old Town Club Collegiate Invitational in Winston-Salem Sept. 27-28.
Duke's Rod Myers Invitational (RMI) returns to the schedule after a one-year hiatus with a 14-team field that includes Duke, Charlotte, East Carolina, Elon, Loyola (Md.), Nebraska, North Carolina, NC State, North Florida, Penn State, Princeton, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington and Virginia Tech.
The teams play a practice round at the Duke GC on Friday, Sept. 10, with 36 holes of competition planned for Saturday, and the final round on Sunday.
A return trip to New York opens October with the Hamptons Intercollegiate at Maidstone GC Oct. 4-5, while the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate in Alpharetta concludes the fall schedule Oct. 22-24.
The spring swing begins Jan. 24-25 at the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, followed by the Camp Creek Invitational in Panama City Beach, Fla., Feb. 20-22. The Blue Devils descend on famed Pinehurst No. 2 for the Wake Forest Intercollegiate March 7-8, followed by the final two regular-season events – the Valspar Collegiate March 28-29 in Palm City, Fla., and the Stitch Intercollegiate April 8-9 in Cary.
The ACC Championship will be contested April 21-25 in Panama City Beach, Fla., with NCAA Regional action commencing May 16-18 at six regional locations. The NCAA Championship returns to Scottsdale, Ariz., May 26-31 at Grayhawk GC.
