DURHAM N.C. -- Each of the six former Blue Devil players in the WNBA have made significant impacts in a variety of different ways. Five of the six players and their teams are all positioned to be in the playoffs if the season ended today. The Blue Devils in this breakdown will include: Chelsea Gray, Elizabeth Williams,
Haley Gorecki, Jasmine Thomas,
Leaonna Odom, and Lexie Brown.
With Duke featuring six Blue Devils in the WNBA, Duke is ranked tied for third amongst all college programs,
Here is how they are each doing up to this point:
Chelsea Gray-- Duke '14
Las Vegas Aces (WNBA), 5-11, Guard
2021 Stats: 11 games, 11.8 PPG, 6.5 APG, 3.2 RPG, 1.6 SPG
The Las Vegas Aces have been on a relentless streak winning six of the last seven games. Chelsea Gray, during that time, has scored double-digit points in five of those seven contests including a 19-point
performance against the Indiana Fever. On Saturday, June 5, Gray executed another well-rounded game versus the Washington Mystics in the 96-93 win. In that game, Gray finished with 11 points, eight assists, and four rebounds. Throughout the course of her career, Gray has been known for her razor-sharp passes and this season is no exception. Gray is currently ranked third in assists per game this season with 6.5 APG. The Aces will look to continue their hot streak against the high powered New York Liberty, a team which includes another former Duke player in
Leaonna Odom. The game is set for Tuesday, June 15, at 10 p.m. EST.

Williams was a significant contributor in that effort with six points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Although the team has not been representing themselves with their usual tough play, Williams, over the last four games, has averaged over six points a game (6.25) and contributed over six rebounds in that four-game span as well (6.5). The Dream are ranked third in the Eastern Conference with a 5-6 record, and are set to be, once again, challenged by the Washington Mystics on Thursday, June 17, at 7 p.m. EST.

the Eastern Conference and third overall in the WNBA. Thomas, last week, continued to add impressive stats to the record books with her 1,200 rebounds. Through her nine games, Thomas is averaging 30.9 MPG -- which is the second highest amount of minutes that she has averaged throughout her long, successful career. In that match up, Thomas contributed six points, three assists, and two rebounds. In three of the next four games, including the

Leaonna Odom, who opened her sophomore season in the WNBA on the sideline due to an injury, is starting to earn more minutes each and every game. Odom played a season high of 14 minutes in the nail-biting, 85-83, victory on Sunday, June 13 against the Phoenix Mercury. In that matchup, Odom scored four points and grabbed a rebound as well in the much needed win for the Liberty, which improves its record to 6-4. The Liberty are ranked second in the Eastern Conference and fourth overall in the WNBA. Odom and the Liberty will get another chance to improve their overall standings on Tuesday, June 15, against the red-hot Las Vegas Aces and former Blue Devil, Chelsea Gray at 10 p.m. EST.
