DURHAM – No. 41 Duke closes out its regular season by welcoming Florida State and No. 43 Miami on Friday and Saturday, respectively, to Ambler Tennis Stadium.

Friday's league contest with the Seminoles is scheduled for 3 p.m., while Saturday's nationally ranked ACC matchup will kick off at 1 p.m.

The Blue Devils most recently dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 11 Wake Forest during their last outing and currently sit with a 9-9 overall mark. Duke is also 4-5 in ACC play.

HISTORY WITH FLORIDA STATE
Friday's match will be the 47th all-time meeting between the two programs. Duke holds the 30-16 edge, but the Seminoles have taken five of the last six outings, including four straight. During the teams' last meeting on April 18, 2019, Florida State recorded a 4-2 victory during the ACC Championship second round at Cary Tennis Park.

Florida State sits with an 8-13 overall mark and a 2-8 record in ACC action. The Seminoles split matches with Miami (L, 4-2) and Boston College (W, 7-0) on April 8th and 9th, respectively, during their last two home contests of the year. Loris Pourroy leads the team with 12 singles wins and is followed closely by Marcus Walters, who has 10 victories to his name. The Seminoles top doubles team of Pourroy and Walters, also the No. 69 ranked duo in the country, currently hold a 12-8 record heading into Friday's match.

HISTORY WITH MIAMI
The Blue Devils and Hurricanes are knotted at 24-all in the series ledger. Miami is riding a two-match winning streak in the series, but Duke had won nine consecutive prior to that. During the team' last meeting, the Hurricanes posted a slim 4-3 victory on March 22, 2019. The Blue Devils held a 3-0 lead in the match before the Hurricanes came back with the final four singles decisions to claim the victory.

SCOUTING THE HURRICANES
In the most recent Oracle/ITA Division I men's rankings, Miami holds the No. 43 spot with a 7-7 overall record. The Hurricanes also sit at 4-4 in conference play heading into the weekend. Miami most recently registered a 4-1 victory over Florida Atlantic on Tuesday during its last match. Adria Soriano Barrera is Miami's lone ranked player in singles action at No. 34 after holding a 7-5 mark. The Hurricanes' top doubles duo of Franco Aubone and Benjamin Hannestad lead the team with a 6-6 record. The duo is rated as the No. 32 best doubles team in the country. Miami will face No. 3 North Carolina on Friday prior to facing off against Duke.

Duke University will begin the spring sport season without spectators at home events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Contests played on Duke's campus will only include game management personnel and broadcast media.
