DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University alumna Chelsea Gray helped lead Spar Girona to the Queen's Cup title this week with a 72-63 victory in the championship. Gray earned MVP accolades with her efforts.
Gray, a 2014 Blue Devil graduate, scored 10 points and assisted on four buckets for Spar Girona in the title match. She also added 14 points and 10 assists in the semifinals to propel her squad into the championship game.
The title for Spar Girona was its first in the Queen's Cup.
A three-time WNBA All-Star, Gray is a six-year veteran, who over the last four seasons with the Los Angeles Sparks, averaged 14.1 points, 5.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. She recently signed with the Las Vegas Aces for the upcoming season. Gray helped lead the Sparks to the 2016 WNBA Championship.
Gray, a 2014 Duke graduate, was a two-time All-American with the Blue Devils while helping lead the Blue Devils to two ACC Tournament Championships, three ACC regular season titles and three trips to the NCAA Elite Eight over her four years.
