Matthew Hurt added 14 with six rebounds, but Duke was unable to overcome a slow start in a 91-73 loss at North Carolina Saturday night.
The Blue Devils (11-11, 9-9 ACC) shot 28-of-69 (.406) from the field but just 5-of-27 from three-point range (.185), and couldn't climb back in the game after falling behind by 20 points midway through the first half. With the regular season wrapped up, Duke now turns its attention to the ACC Tournament in Greensboro, N.C., where it will face Boston College on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. ET as the league's No. 10 seed.
Armando Bacot, Caleb Love and Kerwin Walton each scored 18 points to pace the Tar Heels (16-9, 10-6 ACC), who took a 42-26 lead into halftime and never allowed Duke to get it to within single digits the rest of the way.
Senior
Jordan Goldwire dished out a team-high five assists while committing just one turnover. Goldwire ended the regular season with nine straight games of at least four assists. Freshman
DJ Steward recorded 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting and grabbed three rebounds.
