DURHAM, N.C. – No 41 Duke hosts No. 40 Liberty in a men's tennis midweek out-of-conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon.

The 3 p.m. contest is scheduled to be the Blue Devils' first match at Ambler Tennis Stadium this season but pending weather may force the teams inside to the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.

Duke is looking to get back on track Wednesday after dropping both of its ACC matches over the weekend to No. 6 Virginia and No. 38 Virginia Tech.

HISTORY WITH LIBERTY
Wednesday's match will be the first all-time meeting between the two programs. They have had two common opponents during the 2021 season though as both have faced off against Virginia and UNC Wilmington. Duke and Liberty both went 1-1, respectively, against those teams.

SCOUTING THE FLAMES
Liberty sits at 13-5 overall and 3-0 in ASUN action. The Flames most recently defeated No. 49 UNC Wilmington and Bellarmine over the weekend. Junior Nicaise Muamba leads Liberty and enters the match as the No. 82 singles players in the nation. He is 12-4 in the No. 1 singles position and sports two ranked victories in 2021.

FAN INFORMATION
Duke University will begin the spring sport season without spectators at home events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Contests played on Duke's campus will only include game management personnel and broadcast media.

The Blue Devils welcome Boston College to the Ambler Tennis Stadium on Friday at 3 p.m. before traveling to Chapel Hill on Sunday for a 1 p.m. contest with North Carolina at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
