- Fresh off a season-opening win over No. 10 Kentucky, ninth-ranked Duke welcomes Army West Point for the Duke Veterans Day Weekend Showcase Presented by Ameritas.

- The United States Military Academy is a program and institution that holds special meaning to Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski. Coach K played for, and graduated from, Army, and later served as the program's head coach.
- Duke opened its season on Tuesday with a 79-71 victory over Kentucky in a battle of top-10 ranked blue bloods in the State Farm Champions Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York.
- With the win, Duke improved to 40-2 in season openers under Krzyzewski and has won 22 consecutive.
- In home openers under Coach K, Duke is 40-1 and has won 39 consecutive.
- Beginning with Army, Duke plays five home games over the next 10 days before a date with No. 1 Gonzaga on Friday, Nov. 26 in Las Vegas. Four days later, Duke battles No. 17 Ohio State in Columbus in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge to end the month.
- Friday's game marks Duke's first regular season game with fans at Cameron Indoor Stadium in 616 days. The last regular season game with fans was a win over North Carolina on March 7, 2020.
- Duke was picked as the preseason favorite in the ACC, with freshman Paolo Banchero tapped the ACC's Preseason Player and Freshman of the Year. Banchero (first team), Wendell Moore Jr. and Mark Williams (second team), were each named Preseason All-ACC.
- With Duke opening the season ranked No. 9 in the Associated Press preseason poll, the Blue Devils have now been ranked in the top 10 at least once in 26 consecutive seasons -- the longest active streak nationally. The No. 9 ranking also marked the 14th consecutive season that Duke made its debut in the top 10.
DUKE VETERANS DAY WEEKEND SHOWCASE PRESENTED BY AMERITAS
The Blue Devils are hosting the Duke Veterans Day Weekend Showcase Presented by Ameritas this weekend at Cameron Indoor Stadium…The multi-team event (MTE) also includes Coach K's alma mater, Army West Point, along with Campbell and Hartford…Hartford and Campbell play Friday at 1:30 p.m., followed by Duke vs. Army at 7 p.m. Saturday's schedule includes Hartford vs. Army at 2:30 p.m., with Duke and Campbell capping the action at 8 p.m…"It's always an honor for us to play at Cameron Indoor Stadium and we're excited to bring in three quality programs for the Duke Veterans Day Weekend Showcase presented by Ameritas," said Krzyzewski. "As a West Point alum, the opportunity to have my alma mater at Cameron Indoor on Veterans Day weekend, along with Campbell and Hartford, is very special. These games on consecutive days will be a great test for our team."
