TULSA, Okla. – Two Blue Devil doubles duos continued competition Thursday at the 2021 ITA All-American Championships.

The junior pair of Michael Heller and Andrew Zhang saw their impressive streak through the tournament come to an end after dropping a 6-4, 6-2 decision to No. 40 Robert Cash and Matij Vocel of Ohio State in the second round of the main draw. Heller and Zhang put together four-straight wins, including two over ranked opponents.

The No. 9 ranked duo of Garrett Johns and Sean Sculley battled in the first round of consolation play on Thursday as well. The twosome defeated Florida's 57th-ranked Mattias Siimar and Abedallah Shelbayh 7-6 (10), 6-4 to advance to the consolation second round. The pair will meet up with No. 23 Trent Bryde and Blake Croyder of Georgia on Friday at 4 p.m. CT the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa.
