WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Duke women's tennis team's run at the 2021 ITA Regional Championships came to an end Sunday afternoon in the singles semifinals and doubles finals.
The duo pairings of
Karolina Berankova and
Georgia Drummy as well as
Chloe Beck and
Margaryta Bilokin both fell in the finals of the doubles main draw. Berankova and Drummy lost to North Carolina's Cameron Morra and Carson Tanguilig 6-0, 6-2, while Beck and Bilokin dropped a 7-5, 6-1 decision to the Tar Heels' Elizabeth Scotty and Fiona Crowley.
Kelly Chen and
Emma Jackson also had their time at ITA Regionals come to a close after both fell in the singles main draw semifinal round. Chen dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision to Crowley, while Ayana Akli of South Carolina bested Jackson 6-1, 6-1.
Despite Sunday's setback, the Blue Devils strong run of play produced 27 wins between singles and doubles competition across the weekend.
