DURHAM, N.C. – Junior women's golfer
Gina Kim has been selected Duke's PNC Achievers Student-Athlete of the Week after opening 2021 with a wire-to-wire victory at the Harder Hall Women's Invitational in Orlando, Fla.
A product of Chapel Hill, N.C., Kim collected rounds of 67, 69, 78 and 73 for a one-under-par, 287, at the Harder Hall Resort Club in Sebring, Fla. After totaling rounds of 67 and 69 over the first two days, Kim led by eight strokes heading into the final two days.
Kim, a two-time All-American at Duke, closed the final round with two birdies over her final eight holes to win by one stroke over Chloe Kovelesky (288).
Kim joined former Blue Devils Jenny Chuasiriporn (1998) and Beth Bauer (1999, 2000), who also won the Harder Hall Invitational.
