Zhang Selected PNC Achievers Student-Athlete of the Week

DURHAM, N.C. – Sophomore men's tennis payer Andrew Zhang has been named Duke's PNC Achiever's Student-Athlete of the Week following strong performances last week.
On the final day of the ACC Challenge versus Virginia Tech on Monday, Jan. 18, Zhang picked up a 6-2 doubles victory with senior Edu Güell before garnering a 6-1, 6-1 singles win. His 2-0 singles record on the weekend earned him the title of the ACC Challenge Co-Singles Champion.
Zhang notched Duke's only win on Sunday in its first dual match of the season against No. 20 South Carolina at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Bloomfield Hills, Mich., native took down the Gamecocks' Toby Samuel (6-4, 6-1) on court four.
Although the spring season has just begun, Zhang is the lone undefeated Blue Devil at 3-0 in singles action.
