THE OPENING TIP
- On the heels of a three-game road swing, Duke plays seven of its next 10 at Cameron Indoor Stadium beginning Tuesday night vs. Georgia Tech at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.
- The long-time rivals are meeting for the 98th time in a series that dates back to the 1922 season. The Blue Devils lead the series, 74-23, and have won 13 consecutive over the Yellow Jackets.
- Sophomore Matthew Hurt -- the ACC's second-leading scorer overall (19.4) and leader in conference play (19.7) -- is the nation's only player to have scored 12+ points, shot better than .400 from the field and have 6+ rebounds in each of his team's games this season.

SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS
Georgia Tech is 7-4 overall and 3-2 in ACC play after its five-game winning streak was snapped Saturday with a 64-62 loss at Virginia … Led by a duo of veteran guards in Jose Alvarado and Michael Devoe, the Yellow Jackets are third in the ACC in scoring, second in field goal percentage (.475) and fourth in three-point field goal percentage (.381) … Alvarado is averaging 17.4 points and hits on a 43 percent clip (23-of-54) from three-point range, while Devoe is averaging 13.9 points and making 42 percent (27-of-65) from long range … Alvarado is fourth in the league in scoring, fourth in assists, first in steals, seventh in assist/turnover ratio and third in minutes.

Duke opponents have attempted 48 more free throws than the Blue Devils over the last four games (101-53) … In the six-point loss at Pitt, Duke was out-scored at the free throw by 13 points (24-11) ...
