Six Blue Devils Secure Preseason ITA Rankings

DURHAM, N.C. – Prior to the start of the 2021 slate, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its preseason rankings for the spring and Duke was well represented with six Blue Devils making the singles, doubles and newcomers list.
Headlining the Blue Devils in singles is No. 8 Kelly Chen, followed by No. 28 Georgia Drummy, No. 29 Chloe Beck, No. 44 Margaryta Bilokin, No. T95 Karolina Berankova and No. 111 Meible Chi.
On the doubles side, Beck and Chen are tied for 34th while Drummy and Berankova check in at No. 56.
Additionally, the ITA released its list of top 10 newcomers as Berankova is No. 6.
Most recently, the Blue Devils wrapped up hosting the Duke Winter Classic where players competed as individuals against NC State and Tennessee. Beck turned in a 2-0 performance in singles while Bilokin, Chen and Chi all went 2-1. In doubles, Beck and Berankova posted a 3-1 weekend.
