BAR, Montenegro – KK Mornar Bar of the Adriatic First League Division (ABA) has announced the signing of former Duke men's basketball captain
Justin Robinson.
The 23-year old son of NBA Hall of Famer David Robinson completed his master's degree at Duke's Fuqua School of Business after spending the past five seasons with the Blue Devils. A revered leader in the Duke locker room, Robinson appeared in 55 games over his career, making one start. He emerged as a significant on-court contributor over his last five games of the 2019-20 season, when he totaled 36 points on 14-of-22 shooting from the field and 7-of-12 from three-point range while posting 14 rebounds, 10 blocks and five assists.
In his first career start – a Senior Night win over North Carolina on March 7, 2020 – Robinson matched his career high with 13 points and six rebounds, while setting career highs in minutes (25), blocks (4) and assists (3).
With KK Mornar Bar, Robinson will be playing alongside former Division I players such as Jacob Pullen (Kansas State, 2007-11), Kenny Gabriel (Auburn, 2009-12) and Isaiah Whitehead (Seton Hall (2014-16).
Robinson becomes the second Duke player from this past season to ink a professional basketball contract overseas, as fellow team captain
Jack White signed a three-year deal with Melbourne United of Australia's National Basketball League in July.
KK Mornar Bar's first game of the 2020-21 regular season is scheduled for October 2.
