BANDON, Ore. -- Three current Duke men's golfers and one former Blue Devil will tee it up beginning Monday at the 120th United States Amateur Championship at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Oregon.

Yarik Merkulov as four of the 264 competitors vying for the prestigious Havenmeyer Trophy over the next week on the banks of the Pacific Ocean.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no qualifying for the 2020 U.S. Amateur as the field was filled entirely through exemptions. The starting field of 264 players will play 18 holes of stroke play on Aug. 10 and 11, one round on each of the two qualifying courses – Bandon Dunes and Bandon Trails, after which the field will be cut to the low 64 scorers.Six rounds of match play begin on Aug. 12 and the championship concludes with a 36-hole championship match on Aug. 16.
Pendaires, who will have Duke head coach
Jamie Green serving as his caddy, enters the tournament ranked 54th on the current World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR). The French native played to a 71.00 stroke average in four events this past fall for the Blue Devils, while posting a 6-2-0 mark in three match play events.
Katz paced the Blue Devils with his 70.92 stroke average this fall, while going 5-3-0 in match play events. Playing in the U.S. Amateur for the second straight year, the Washington, D.C., native finished a team-best No. 8 in the final 2020 Golfstat player ratings, with Pendaries finishing 12th in the abbreviated collegiate season.
A decorated junior player, Siebers is currently ranked 42nd in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) rankings. The Bellevue, Wash., native finished tied for seventh at the Junior PLAYERS Championship last August, while posting a top 40 showing at the Boys Junior PGA Championship last July.
Merkulov concluded his Duke career in 2014 after four years as a Blue Devils. He played in 21 tournaments with a career scoring average of 74.00.
Bandon Dunes Golf Resort's Bandon Dunes course will be set up at 7,214 yards and will play to a par of 36-36–72. Its Bandon Trails course, which will serve as the stroke-play co-host course for the two days of stroke play, will be set up at 6,850 yards and play to a par of 36-35–71.
Pendaries begins his championship on Monday at 2:31 p.m. PT on Bandon Dunes, while Siebers tees it up at 12:52 p.m. PT on Bandon Dunes. Katz is off Bandon Trails at 10:51 a.m. PT on Monday, with Merkulov off at 9:34 a.m. PT on Bandon Dunes.
Television coverage of the 120th U.S. Amateur can be seen Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 3-4 p.m. PT (6-7 p.m. ET) on NBC's streaming service Peacock, with Golf Channel airing living coverage from 4-6 p.m. PT (7-9 p.m. ET) each day. Saturday's and Sunday's coverage airs live on Golf Channel from 4-7 p.m. PT (7-10 p.m. ET).
