DURHAM, N.C. – With the 2020 National Women's Soccer League season now underway, several former Blue Devil standouts are making impacts on their respective teams. Check out how the Blue Devils are performing in the latest edition of DWS in the Pros.
The Utah 2020 Challenge Cup began last week in the NWSL, and the duo of Rebecca Quinn and
Ella Stevens both saw action across the week's contests.
Quinn, a member of OL Reign, saw her squad post a 0-1-1 record across its first two contests. Quinn logged 90 minutes of action in last Tuesday's matchup with Sky Blue FC, which ended in a 0-0 tie. The former Blue Devil logged one shot across the contest.
Stevens, a rookie with the Chicago Red Stars, made her professional debut in Wednesday's matchup with the Portland Thorns. She saw 90 minutes of action in the contest, as the two teams played to a 0-0 draw in the team's second game of the cup. The Red Stars dropped their final contest of the week, falling 1-0 to the NC Courage on Sunday afternoon.
The NWSL Challenge Cup resumes on Wednesday, as former standouts Imani Dorsey and Kayla McCoy will square off against each other in the final game of the day. The matchup between Sky Blue FC and the Houston Dash is set for a 10 p.m. ET start, with action airing live on the CBS All Access stream.
