DURHAM, N.C. -- A five-star wing from the state of Wisconsin, who comes to Duke as the 12th-ranked player in the class,
Jalen Johnson looks to make his mark as the next great Blue Devil at the position.
Johnson completed his senior campaign at Nicolet High School in Glendale, Wisc., appearing in nine games and averaging 24.6 points, 10.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest after transferring in from IMG Academy (Fla.). He was named the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year and Wisconsin AP Player of the Year following his junior season, when he led Nicolet to a 27-1 record and the school's first state championship.
The 6-foot-8 Johnson has basketball in his blood, as his mother, Stacy, and father, Roderick, each played basketball at Wisconsin-Milwaukee, while his brother Rod is playing now for UT Chattanooga.
