GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke University collected a league-record 572 student-athletes on the 64th annual ACC Honor Roll released Thursday by Commissioner John Swofford. Duke has now paced the conference in ACC Honor Roll selections in 32 of the past 33 years.
The ACC Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year. The 5,609 recognized this year shattered the previous league mark of 4,768 set in 2018-19.
Duke led all schools with 572 student-athletes recognized, and Notre Dame placed 541 on the list. Virginia saw 496 student-athletes achieve Honor Roll status, followed by North Carolina with 468 and Boston College with 455.
Headlining the list of recognized Blue Devils is ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for fencing,
Eoin Gronningsater.
In addition, Duke boasted five five-time ACC Honor Roll selections including
Quentin Harris (football),
Kyra Lambert (women's basketball),
Sammi Steele (field hockey),
Turner Uppgren (men's lacrosse) and
Sheridan Wilbur (track & field).
