DURHAM, N.C. – GoDuke.com recently checked in with Duke volleyball junior
Summer Brown to look back at her season with the Blue Devils.
Where are you now?
"I'm at home in Georgia!"
What are you doing to stay active?
"Aside from working out and going to PT, I've been going on walks with my mother and baking and cooking — I'm still learning my way around the kitchen!"
What was your favorite memory from this season?
"My favorite memory from this season is definitely our win against ranked Oregon in five."
What do you miss most about being at Duke?
"I miss being able to see the chapel on the way to classes and definitely being able to go to the library. I love going to the quiet areas by the Gothic Reading Room and getting a bunch of work done! So satisfying!"
Brown saw action in 14 contests during the 2019 season as a 6-5 middle blocker.
The junior collected 16 blocks and 11 kills and added a season-high four blocks in Duke's victory over Charlotte. Brown also added three blocks in Duke's first match of the season versus Michigan State.
