DURHAM, N.C.— Welcome to "Senior Week" as the Duke women's golf program recognizes our next senior,
Miranda Wang, this week. Wang, a native of Beijing, China, graduated from Duke this past Sunday with a degree in public policy and psychology.
Wang was playing the best golf of her collegiate career when the season was cut short in March. She had collected a 71.83 stroke average in her last two tournaments, which included a tied for second finish at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge with rounds of 74, 66 and 68 for a five-under-par, 208. Â
She competed in 24 tournaments over the last three years following a redshirt campaign in 2016-17. Wang collected two top five and eight top 20 finishes over her Duke career, while helping lead the Blue Devils to the 2019 NCAA Championship. She clinched the victory over Wake Forest, 3-2, in Fayetteville, Ark. Wang was also part of the 2018 ACC Championship squad. Â
Wang will turn professional this summer and most likely open her professional career on the China LPGA. Â
