Gorecki Selected as Finalist of Ann Meyers Drysdale Award
Haley Gorecki has been selected as one of 10 finalists for the 2020 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. The award recognizes the top shooting guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball.
Gorecki is the only student-athlete in the nation averaging over 18.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.0 steals. She has collected six double-doubles and has scored 20 or more points in eight contests.

The Duke women's basketball knocked off 14th-ranked Florida State, 66-64, in Cameron in a key ACC victory. Graduate Haley Gorecki led all scorers with 21 points, and Leaonna Odom was close behind with 18. Jade Williams also put up 10 of her own for her fourth straight game with 10 or more points.
Sunday's contest was a tight battle up until the final seconds. The game was tied at 64 with 9.8 seconds on the clock. After Duke called a timeout to advance the ball, Gorecki was fouled and drained both free throws to seal the victory.

The Blue Devils collected a 73-56 road win over Pitt. Senior Leaonna Odom led the Blue Devils with a game-high 20 points, while graduate Haley Gorecki put up 17 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Junior Jade Williams finished with double-digit scoring (10) for the third straight contest.
Duke was propelled to the victory with a strong third quarter performance, going on an 11-0 run and holding Pitt to 3-of-14 field goals.
