FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Duke men's golf team opened its spring season on Sunday by defeating Princeton, 10.5-5.5, in a dual match at the Club at Emerald Hills in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
The fourth-ranked Blue Devils won the morning session, 6-2, and edged the Tigers in the afternoon session, 4.5-3.5, to claim the victory. Junior

Drew Powell each swept their matches on Sunday to pace Duke.
Wong posted the largest margin of the day for Duke, taking down Max Holm of Princeton in the morning session by a 7&6 score. The Blue Devil junior from Singapore defeated Henry Dubiel in the afternoon session, 4&3, to put two points on the board for his team.
Powell swept his matches, closing out Henry Dubiel, 1-up, in the morning, and defeating Max Holm in the afternoon by a 4&2 score. Riley won in the morning over Jackson Fretty, 5&3, and downed Jack Roberts in the afternoon session, 2&1.

Senior
Chandler Eaton was also unbeaten on Sunday, beating Guy Waterhouse in the morning, 4&3, and halving his match versus Evan Quinn in the afternoon.
The Blue Devils were also boosted by victories in the morning from senior
Harrison Taee and junior
Evan Katz to clinch the session, 6-2.
The afternoon matches proved to be closer, with Duke pulling out a 4.5-3.5 victory. In addition to the points from Riley, Powell, Wong and Eaton, junior
Adrien Pendaries took down Waterhouse, 2&1.
Duke is back in action March 1-2 at the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas, Nev.
