DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women's basketball sophomore forward Jennifer Ezeh will be sidelined for a second consecutive year after suffering another knee injury during practice on Saturday.
Ezeh tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her right knee in practice. When she arrived at Duke in August of 2019, she had an ACL injury in her left knee and missed the 2019-20 campaign.
A Top-100 recruits coming out of high school, Ezeh, a native of Nibo, Nigeria, has yet to play a game for the Blue Devils. She earned All-America honors during her prep career at New Hope Academy in Maryland. As a senior she averaged 15.5 points and 10.1 rebounds on her way to being named the All-Metropolitan girls' player of the year in 2019. Ezeh capped her prep career by leading New Hope to the 2019 National Championship with a 45-34 victory over St. Johns.
