DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women's tennis head coach
Jamie Ashworth announced the signing of
Yasmine Mansouri Thursday as Mansouri will join the fifth-ranked Blue Devils for the spring portion of the 2019-20 campaign.
"Adding Yasmine to our Duke tennis family will be a tremendous lift to our program," Ashworth said. "She brings a wealth of international experience and has high expectations for herself and our team. Over the past few months, she has demonstrated she wants to add to the great tradition of our program and we know she is going to be an asset both on and off the court. We are excited to get started on the court with her this week as she is going to play an integral role in the success of our season."
Mansouri was born in Tunisia before moving to Paris when she was 14 to train with the French federation at the national center. While in Paris, Mansouri enrolled at the Centre National d'Education à Distance (CNED), a homeschooling service.
Mansouri has extensive experience on the international circuit where she competed at the French Open at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris.

Mansouri's older brother, Skander, was a four-time All-American at Wake Forest.
"I am really excited to start the year as a Blue Devil and I can't wait to compete," Mansouri said.
Mansouri and the fifth-ranked Blue Devils will open the 2020 slate Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Grand Canyon.
