DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women's golf head coach
Dan Brooks has announced an addition to the 2020 schedule as the Blue Devils will see action in The Big Four Duel at Lonnie Poole Saturday, March 21. The duel will include Duke, NC State, Wake Forest and North Carolina and will be contested at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C.
The format will include match play with each team featuring seven golfers. The semifinal matches will take place in the morning with Wake Forest vs. NC State in one match and Duke vs. UNC in the other. The pairings were set by GolfStat rankings as of Dec. 31, 2019. The final and consolation matches will take place in the afternoon.
All four teams will also play a practice round March 21.
Lonnie Poole Golf Course is one of four NCAA regional sites for 2020, which will be contested May 11-13.
Duke will open the 2020 spring slate at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge Feb. 9-11 at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes, Calif.
