DURHAM, N.C. – Coming off an impressive win over UNLV to open the 2019 Duke Nike Classic, the No. 11 Duke Blue Devils (3-1-1) look to things going Sunday afternoon as the wrap up the weekend with a matchup against LSU (2-1-1) at Koskinen Stadium.
The match, set for a 1:30 p.m. ET start, and will follow the conclusion of the tournament's first match of the day between top-ranked North Carolina and UNLV, which will begin at 11 a.m. Both matches will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra. Mackenzie Pluck, the 12th-ranked Duke women's soccer team earned the program's 400th all-time victory with a 3-0 win over UNLV to open the 2019 Duke Nike Classic. With the victory, the Blue Devils improve to 3-1-1 on the season, while the Lady Rebels fall to 2-2-0 on the campaign.
First Month in the Books
The Blue Devils closed out the month of August with a 2-1-1 record across the first four games of the campaign. Duke opened the season with a 2-0 victory over La Salle before falling to North Carolina, 2-0, to close out the 2019 Carolina Nike Classic. Duke opened up his home slate with back-to-back top 25 matchups to conclude the month. First the Blue Devils battled to a 0-0 draw in double-overtime against the 13th-ranked Hoyas, before rallying to defeat No. 19 Santa Clara, 3-2, in a overtime victory.
Stevens, McGuire Pace the Blue Devil Offense

Marykate McGuire have paced the Blue Devil offense this season, combining for five of Duke's eight goals this season, while McGuire is tied for the team lead with three.
After only registering one goal last season, Stevens has gotten off to an impressive start in her final campaign. The senior has scored the game-winning goal in the season opener against La Salle, before heading in the go-ahead goal in the matchup versus then-No. 19 Santa Clara.
Likewise, McGuire has began her second year with the Blue Devils in fantastic fashion, headlining the Duke offensive attack. The sophomore scored a the put-away goal in the first game of the season to seal the 2-0 victory over La Salle, before registering the golden goal versus No. 19 Santa Clara this past weekend. McGuire leads the team in shot attempts with 11, while also ranking first in shots on goal with five. She has added one assist to her totals.
Duke vs. LSU
Sunday's matchup between Duke and LSU marks the fourth time in program history that two teams have met. The series is even between the Blue Devils and Tigers as the series mark is 1-1-1 across the prior three contests. Most recently, the Blue Devils traveled to Baton Rouge in 2017, falling 1-0, to the Tigers. The last matchup in Durham between Duke and LSU came in 2014, as the Blue Devils took down the Tigers 1-0 in regulation.
