Sue Bird Visits Campus
Basketball legend Sue Bird paid a visit to Duke's campus this week, and Duke women's basketball's own Kyra Lambert moderated the Q&A with Bird. The three-time WNBA champ, four-time Olympic gold medalist, and two-time NCAA champ spoke about inclusion and diversity in sports. Bird also spoke on advocacy and activism, and her role in speaking up about gender and pay equality.

Elizabeth Williams To Play for USA Women's AmeriCup Team
Elizabeth Williams was selected to be part of the 12-member team representing the USA at the FIBA AmeriCup. The tournament began September 22 with the USA handling a decisive 110-31 win over Paraguay. Williams and the team will take to the court again Tuesday to face Columbia, Argentina on Wednesday, and Brazil, Thursday.

Jasmine Thomas and the Connecticut Suns swept the Los Angeles Sparks, 3-0, after Sunday's victory. Jasmine Thomas had 29 of the Suns' 78 points in Sunday's clinching game, along with five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Chelsea Gray was held to only seven points and one board in the Sparks' loss.
