DURHAM, N.C. -- Two-time National and ACC Player of the Year,
J.J. Redick was back on campus this week working out in preparation for his 15th NBA season in 2019-20.
Redick is prepping for his first year with the New Orleans Pelicans, which have been dubbed Blue Devils South, as the roster also includes
Brandon Ingram,
Frank Jackson,
Jahlil Okafor,
Zion Williamson and General Manager
Trajan Langdon.
In 836 career NBA games, Redick has averaged 12.9 points per game and increased his scoring average over each of the last three seasons to a career-high 18.1 average in 2018-19 with the Philadelphia 76ers. A pro career highlighted by his three-point accuracy and defined by his longevity, Redick is the only remaining 2002 McDonald's All-American still playing in the NBA.
@DukeMBB caught up with Redick to talk about his time with the Blue Devils, the meaning of the Brotherhood and his new home in New Orleans.
