ACC Releases Some Marquee Match-Ups for the 2019-20 Season
The full ACC women's basketball schedule has yet to be released, but the league revealed a couple of match-ups to tease fans about the upcoming season. Duke is set to play down the road at N.C. State on February 24 at 7:30 pm. The game will air live on ESPN2.

Rookie Jaida Patrick Living Her Dream

Blue Devils Looking for Male Practice Players…
The Duke women's basketball team is looking for male practice players to assist during team practices for the upcoming 2019-20 season. Scout team members will participate in day-to-day practice programming including scrimmages, practice drills and opponent scouting.
Practice players must be enrolled as a full-time student at Duke University and should have previous basketball experience, preferably high school or travel ball. Scout members will earn Duke gear as the season progresses. Interested individuals should contact Keturah Jackson at keturah.jackson@duke.edu.

For the third straight season, Jasmine Thomas was named All-Defensive First Team. The Connecticut Suns guard tied for eighth in steals this season, with 1.88 spg.

Five Former Blue Devils to Compete in WNBA Playoffs
The WNBA playoffs tipped off this week, and five familiar faces will be looking for a title. Jasmine Thomas helped the Connecticut Sun with the No. 2 seed, with Chelsea Gray, Alana Beard, and the Los Angeles Sparks took No. 3. At No.7, Lexie Brown and Karima Christmas hope to help the Minnesota Lynx. Minnesota played Wednesday, and Los Angeles on Sunday. Connecticut will tip off Tuesday. Chelsea Gray, '14
Chelsea Gray and the Los Angeles Sparks advanced to the conference finals after defeating the Seattle Storm Sunday afternoon, 92-69. Gray played 32 minutes as a huge offensive presence with 21 points and eight assists. Gray also totaled three boards and a steal. The Sparks will face Jasmine Thomas and the Connecticut Suns on Tuesday.

Brown and the Minnesota Lynx lost in the conference semifinals, 74-84, to the Seattle Storm on the road Wednesday. Brown played a total of 20 minutes and contributed five points and three assists.

Alana Beard has moved into 25th place on the WNBA's all-time scoring list and third in career steals. Full list of scorers here and steals here. Beard is one of only four players in WNBA history (Tamika Catchings, Sheryl Swoopes, and Sancho Lyttle) with at least 600 career steals and 200 career blocked shots.
Chelsea Gray finished second in the WNBA in assists per game (5.9 apg) behind Courtney Vandersloot (9.1 apg). Jasmine Thomas finished sixth (5.1 apg). Full list here.
