Durham, N.C., - The Blue Devils officially closed out the 2018-19 campaign with the annual award ceremony hosted on campus. Duke closed off the season 15-15 overall under head coach Joanne P. McCallie. Duke will graduate two players, Sofia Roma and Faith Suggs. Former Blue Devils made history this week in the NBA with Lindsey Harding joining the 76ers coaching staff.

End of Season Awards Ceremony
The Blue Devils held their annual end-of-the-year celebration to officially close out the 2018-19 campaign. Redshirt junior Haley Gorecki took home five awards, while senior Faith Suggs and rookie Miela Goodchild each took home two.

Goodchild Makes History
Rookie Miela Goodchild made an immediate impact on the squad this season, with the eighth-most three-pointers (73) made by a freshman, breaking Rebecca Greenwell's record. Goodchild ranks sixth nationally 44.5 three-point field goal percentage.

Alumni Update…
Lindsey Harding - First Female Coach on Sixers Staff
The 2007 Naismith College Player of the Year was recently promoted to Player Development Coach for the Philadelphia 76ers. The former Blue Devil and WNBA player was previously a scout for the team, but is now the first female in program history to join the coaching staff. Harding primary role “will be to monitor and continuously develop players' skillsets through on-court training and daily film breakdown,” per the 76ers press release.

Angela Salvadores Drafted to the L.A. Sparks
Former guard Angela Salvadores was taken in the third round of the WNBA draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. Salvadores played her freshman campaign at Duke (2015-16) before returning home to Spain to play professionally. She is the 25th Blue Devil pick in the WNBA draft since 1999.

Gray led Cukurova to an 85-74 victory against ninth-ranked Izmit. She was MVP of the game with 16 points, six boards, five assists, and four steals in 28 minutes.

Thomas was MVP on Polkowice's 82-77 victory over AZS UMCS. Thomas recorded 20 points, four rebounds, and five assists. Polkowice is placed first in the EBLK.

Chidom had a double-double performance in Dafni Agioy's close win against Niki Lefkadas. She had 22 points and 12 boards, while also adding three assists and two blocks.
