Duke Adds National Champion Felty to 2019-20 Class

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke track & field program has added another signee to the 2019-20 recruiting class in throws specialist Aiden Felty.
“We are extremely excited for Aiden to join the Blue Devils,” associate head coach B.J. Linnenbrink said. “During the recruiting process, it became clear Aiden was the perfect fit for Duke. Not only does his work ethic and personality mesh well with all our throwers, the addition of a national champion in any event will elevate your entire program.”
Felty comes to Durham from Billerica, Mass., where he attends Innovation Academy High School. His wealth of throws experience is highlighted by being named the 2019 Indoor New Balance High School National Champion in shot put.
His personal-best toss of 67' in early March is ranked No. 1 in the United States and the all-time best mark in the state of Massachusetts.
