Kelly Chen highlighted action Thursday at the 2019 ITA Fall National Championships in Newport Beach, Calif.
With the victory, Chen advances to the round of 16.
Tabbed No. 5 by the ITA, Chen defeated No. 98 Rebeka Stolmar of UCF in straight sets (6-2, 6-0).
Freshman
Chloe Beck fell to No. 12 Cameron Morra (North Carolina) 6-1, 6-1 and
Meible Chi dropped a 6-1, 3-6, 4-6 decision to Lexi Ryngler (Texas)
Chen will return to the court Friday in Newport Beach.
