The Duke women's basketball team was led by graduate Haley Gorecki and sophomore Miela Goodchild to a 99-85 victory over Troy in Cameron. Gorecki and Goodchild combined to score 49 points. Gorecki scored 23 points and grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds, while Goodchild score 23 of her 26 points in the second half.Â
Duke finished the contest hitting a season-best 50.8 field goal percentage. Leaonna Odom also contributed 16 points, and rookie Jada Claude grabbed a career-high eight boards.Â

A great defensive effort in the first half and a career-high 30 points from graduate Haley Gorecki led the Blue Devils to a 85-66 victory over Idaho State. It is the first time this year that Gorecki scores more than 20 points in a contest, and it's her 16th career 20+ point game.Â
Duke hit 60 percent of their field goals in the first half while holding the Bengals to 28.6 percent shooting.Â
Senior Leaonna Odom added 17 points, while sophomore Onome Akinbode-James had 10 points and a career-high two blocks.Â

Gorecki Earns ACC Co-Player of the Week
After averaging 26.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocked shots in two games this past week, graduate Haley Gorecki was selected ACC Co-Player of the Week for the first time in her career. A native of Palatine, Ill., Gorecki hit 23-of-25 free throws for a 92.0 percentage, while draining 50.0 percent from the field.
