- Looking for its fourth straight win to open the season, second-ranked Duke entertains Georgia State Friday night for the second of two campus games in the 2K Empire Classic Benefiting Wounded Warrior Project.
- The game can be seen live on the ACC Network, and heard across the Blue Devil Sports Network from IMG Learfield College.
- Friday's game is a match-up of two teams each allowing less than 60.0 points per game, while the Blue Devils are forcing opponents to 22.3 turnovers per contest.
- The Blue Devils are at Madison Square Garden in New York next week for the final two games of the Empire Classic -- Thursday vs. Cal and Friday vs. either Georgetown or Texas.
- Duke has won the Empire Classic in each of its last two appearances, and is 9-2 all-time in the event. Under head coach Mike Krzyzewski, the Blue Devils are 97-18 (.843) when playing in-season tournaments with 19 titles.
- Duke is ranked in the AP top five this week for the 22nd consecutive poll -- the nation's longest active streak. Michigan State's streak of three is the next longest.

- Freshman Cassius Stanley is shooting .812 (18/22) from the field this season -- the best shooting percentage by any freshman in the country this season and the best by a Duke freshman guard through the first three games all-time.
- Duke has won an NCAA-best 149 consecutive non-conference home games. The next longest active streak in the NCAA is 53 by Butler.
DUKE VS. GEORGIA STATE
Duke and Georgia State have met just once previously -- a 74-55 Duke victory on Nov. 9, 2012 behind Mason Plumlee's 19 points at Cameron Indoor...The Blue Devils are 16-1 all-time against teams from the Sun Belt Conference.
ABOUT THE PANTHERS
No stranger to championship success, Georgia State has claimed seven Sun Belt titles since the 2014 season and made five NCAA Tournament appearances since 1991...As a 14-seed in 2015, Georgia State upset Baylor in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
Since 2013-14, Georgia State has won more games (135) than any other Division I team in the state of Georgia...First-year head coach Rob Lanier took the reigns from Ron Hunter who was the head coach at GSU for eight seasons. Hunter was named Tulane's head coach in March.
Junior Kane Williams was a preseason second-team All-Sun Belt pick after averaging 11.1 points, 3.5 assists and 3.2 rebounds last season...The Panthers opened their season with a 104-35 rout of Brewton-Parker College (NAIA), but suffered an 84-80 loss at College of Charleston on Nov. 9.Â
TOURNAMENT SUCCESS UNDER COACH K
Duke has a high level of success in tournaments under Coach K, winning 19 in-season, 15 ACC and five NCAA Tournaments for a total of 39 championships in his tenure...The Blue Devils claimed the PK80 Motion Bracket title in 2017-18, the program's 19th in-season crown, and last season won the ACC Tournament for the 15th time.

With the release of the latest Associated Press poll on Nov. 11, Duke jumped to No. 2, up two spots from the AP preseason poll...The Blue Devils have been ranked in the AP top five for 22 consecutive polls, the nation's longest active steak. Michigan State's streak of three polls is the next longest...Duke debuted at No. 4 in last season's preseason AP poll, and went wire-to-wire in the top five, finishing as the AP No. 1 team for the eighth time...Duke's eight No. 1 finishes in the AP poll have all come under Coach K -- the most No. 1 finishes by a college basketball coach all time...The Blue Devils have also been ranked in the top 10 at least once in 24 consecutive seasons -- the longest active streak nationally.
