Sculley, Stachowiak Advance in Doubles Main Draw

Blue Devils Defeat Nation's 26th-Ranked Doubles Pair
TULSA, Okla. – Duke's Sean Sculley and Nick Stachowiak played their way into the doubles main draw round of 16 Wednesday, marking another successful day for the Blue Devil tandem at the 2019 Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships.
After splitting sets with the 26th-ranked pair of Andrea Bolla and Tim Ruehl of Arizona State, Sculley and Stachowiak prevailed in a third set super tiebreaker, 10-7. The win marked the second in as many days for the Duke duo against a ranked doubles pair. The Blue Devils topped Ohio State's 53rd-ranked tandem of Justin Boulais and James Trotter Tuesday in another super tiebreaker to earn a spot in the tournament's main draw.
Sculley and Stachowiak return to action Thursday at the Michael D. Case Center in Tulsa.
