TULSA, Okla. – Following the conclusion of the Women's Collegiate Invitational over the weekend, members of the Duke women's tennis team opened up play at the 2019 ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
Rookie
Chloe Beck got started on a high note with doubles partner
Meible Chi in the qualifying doubles draw as they defeated No. 49 Kolie Allen/Shiori Fukuda of Ohio State 8-3.
Beck followed up that performance with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Kansas State's No. 106 Maria Linares in the qualifying singles draw.
Beck and Chi rounded out the day in the second round of qualifying doubles by falling to Margot Decker/Anna Turco (Kansas State) 8-1.
The Blue Devils will return to action Tuesday in Oklahoma.
