DURHAM, N.C. – The No. 4 Duke men's basketball team forced 36 turnovers and had seven players score in double digits in a 126-57 victory over Fort Valley State University in an exhibition game at Cameron Indoor Stadium Wednesday evening.
Twelve different Blue Devils scored in the victory, as sophomore
Joey Baker poured in a game-high 22 points on 6-of-8 shooting from three-point range. Freshman
Matthew Hurt added 19 points, while classmate
Cassius Stanley had 16 points and five rebounds.

Wendell Moore Jr. tallied 15 points and classmate
Vernon Carey Jr. collected a game-high eight rebounds, added 11 points and three steals. Junior
Jordan Goldwire dished out a game-best eight assists and had a game-high five steals. Goldwire totaled nine steals over Duke's two exhibition games.
Duke opened the contest scoring the game's first 17 points and went into the first media timeout up 19-2. The Blue Devils led 35-12 at the 10-minute mark and ended the first half with a 67-28 advantage. Duke shot 63.6 percent (28-44) in the first half and was led by Baker and Hurt, with 15 each.
The Blue Devils outscored the Wildcats 59-29 in the second half and knocked down seven three pointers en route to the 69-point victory.
For the game, Duke shot 61 percent from the floor, gathered 43 rebounds and dished out 29 assists. Duke also hit on 13-of-28 from downtown.
Duke opens the regular season Tuesday, November 5 in the State Farm Champions Classic against No. 3 Kansas at Madison Square Garden. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
