DURHAM, N.C. – Behind three players in double-digit kills, the Duke volleyball team (10-13, 3-7 ACC) defeated Virginia Tech (8-14, 1-8 ACC) 3-1 (25-12, 23-25, 25-18, 25-17) Friday evening in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
"Our team sustained their focus and effort and really executed well tonight to get the win," head coach
Jolene Nagel said. "This team has continued to work hard, keep a good attitude, work on their culture and have continued to step up and know there's more to it than just winning. But at the same time, we've had a tough go of it a little bit with some challenges along the way but it's made us stronger. Hopefully we can have another good week of practice before we hit the road for some very challenging ACC matches and I hope our team can continue to get better."
