Junior CJ Ambrosio and freshman Zach Kinne earned this week's ACC Cross Country honors

DURHAM, N.C. – Junior CJ Ambrosio and freshman Zach Kinne were honored by the ACC this week, as Ambrosio earned Co-Men's Runner of the Week and Kinne received Men's Freshman of the Week.

Ambrosio led the Blue Devils for the second consecutive week with a third place finish at the Roy Griak Invitational last Saturday morning at the University of Minnesota. The Avon, Ohio, native ran an 8k time of 24:48.1 as Duke placed first out of 14 schools with 34 points overall.

Kinne, a Sewickley, Pa., native, clocked a top-10 time of 24:04.4, placing 10th at the Roy Griak Invitational. The top-10 finish was Kinne's second of his career, as he turned in a fifth place performance at the Elon Opener in August.

Both the men's and women's teams next compete at the Great American XC Festival in Cary, N.C., Saturday, October 5 starting at 9:20 a.m.
