Blue Devil Duo Notches Another Win at ITA All-Americans

Sculley, Stachowiak to Play in Friday's Quarterfinals
TULSA, Okla. – The march through the 2019 Saint Francis ITA All-American Championships main draw continued for Duke's Sean Sculley and Nick Stachowiak Thursday.
Facing Dartmouth's Charlie Broom and David Horneffer – the ninth-ranked doubles tandem in the nation per the preseason ITA doubles poll – Sculley and Stachowiak prevailed in Thursday's Round of 16. After dropping the first set, the Duke duo rebounded to take the second set by a 6-3 score. Sculley and Stachowiak again won a third set super tiebreaker, 10-7, to earn a spot in Friday's quarterfinal round.
The Blue Devil pair has now claimed four straight doubles contests that have been decided by third set super tiebreakers. Sculley and Stachowiak have also emerged victorious in three consecutive contests against ranked doubles opponents.
