DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University women's basketball 2017 graduates Oderah Chidom and Kendall Cooper recently signed professional contracts to continue their basketball careers in Europe.
Chidom joined the Cinkarna Celje Basketball Club in Slovenia while Cavigal Nice of the Ligue Féminine de Basketball (LFB) added Cooper.
Chidom, who is a 6-4 forward from Oakland, Calif., saw action in 122 career games for the Blue Devils over the last four years. She helped lead Duke to a 92-30 record, totaling a 75.4 winning percentage, which is tied for 37th in school history. Chidom totaled 962 points during her career and pulled down 629 rebounds. Celje recently won the Slovenian and Adriatic League Championships. When the Blue Devils traveled to Italy earlier this month, Chidom faced her former team and totaled a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Cooper, who is a 6-4 forward/center from Carson, Calif., saw action in 110 career contests for the Blue Devils over the last four years. She helped lead Duke to an 86-24 overall record and a 78.2 winning percentage, which ranks 34th in Blue Devil history. Cooper and the Blue Devils registered an undefeated regular season on their home court (16-0) during the 2016-17 campaign and helped guide Duke to three NCAA Tournaments, including one Sweet Sixteen appearance. The Cavigal Nice is coming off a season where it posted a 12-16 record in the LFB.
